The Kit Review – Redditch Town FC

Today we take arguably our shortest of trips. Visiting Redditch Town FC. Based in Worcestershire, the club currently ply their trade on Sunday mornings in the Redditch and South Warwickshire Combination league. The club reformed in 2019 after a break of 2 years in the club’s history.

The club have a set of ethos which we admire here and is the true spirit of grassroots football. The ethos of the club is to get players to enjoy playing the beautiful game. Amateur/grassroots football was started for players to enjoy and attend a social event and that's what we are trying to get back.

I know what you're thinking ‘not another blackout shirt’ but yes lets be honest they are always stunning and Redditch Town’s version is absolutely no exception to the high standards other clubs have set. SportyBits might as well be nicknamed the postmen as they constantly deliver the goods.

The black armour like pattern is sublimely mixed with a deep purple in a hooped design yet it reminds us of the Black Panther (RIP Chadwick Boseman) suit which the nerd in me highly encourages and appreciates. This shirt yet again highlights how good purple can be when used properly. 2021 is truly the year of the blackout and this one is will certainly take some matching.

Can you get your own Redditch Town shirt? Of course, you can. You can get yours from here.
