The Kit Review – Holdens FC

Holdens FC out of Birmingham playing in the Sutton and District Sunday League. The club formed in 1981 giving them the status of one of the most established and respected clubs in Birmingham.

With their home ground being Aston University Recreation ground. Currently sitting second in their league only a point behind the leaders but with a game in hand and will be hoping to push for the league title if/when lockdown in the UK is lifted.

Their shirt as expected with a side from Birmingham has links to either Aston Villa or Birmingham City, this shirt there’s no wavering of which side this club follows. The classic claret and blue is a staple of grassroots teams in particular in the midlands.

Holdens have teamed up with EV2 Sportswear to come up with this different take of the claret and blue design which is fresh and unique, no block colour or just the standard body one colour the sleeves another.

EV2 Sportswear have twisted the colours adding blue circles and semi-circles onto the claret body. The sponsor Pellion Interiors logo works perfectly with the design of the shirt. The branding from EV2 and the numbering on the front of the shirts in white is very subtle but adds nicely to this shirt.

The shirts aren’t yet available to purchase from the club but keep an eye out on the Holdens FC socials, Twitter (@holdens_fc) and Instagram (@holdensfc) for updates and ongoings within the club.
