The Kit Review – Gray’s Lake FC

We get out passport out again for our next shirt up for review. We travel across the Atlantic to visit Gray’s Lake FC based in the city of Des Moines which is the capital city of the state of Iowa. The team was initially found way back in 1917 by a group of football (soccer for our American friends) who lived in the Grayslake area.

The club badge will having you thinking there’s a link to Loch Ness but Gray’s Lake reportedly have their own 12-foot water reptile living in the Lake. Known for a free-flowing exhilarating style of football the club play in the Iowa State League.

The shirt was a tough one to choose from as Gray’s Lake have a number of stylish shirts we could of reviewed but we have chosen the clubs home shirt. Gray’s Lake have called in local manufacturers Olive & York to produce this wonderful shirt.

The baby blue base with navy sleeves and electric pink trim works for us already but its taken a step further to add a personal effect from the club, the waves have been added in pink to the body and baby blue on the sleeves are presenting the lake and the home of the mythical Gray’s Lake monster.

You can grab your very own Gray’s Lake shirt from the teams website.

We will certainly be keeping our eyes on any future shirts. Up the Monsters !!!
