The Kit Review – Fir Park Corner FC

So today we go north of the Border crossing Hadrian’s Wall as we visit Fir Park Corner FC based in Motherwell in Scotland. Founded in 2001 the club must be credited for their longevity as it takes some real commitment to keep a club running for two decades. The club play in the Scottish IFA League and IFA British Cup on Saturday mornings. The clubs most noteworthy recent title is that they won the IFA Scottish Cup in 2016.

The shirt is the club’s 20th anniversary shirt and my lord is it a beauty. The club have made it clear they based their design on the classic Motherwell shirt from 1994-1996. Fir Park Corner have bought in the expertise of Maccasports to produce this claret and amber beauty.

The main claret base broken up with the amber stripes is a simple design but its most certainly works and is very appealing on the eyes. The amber polo collar on this shirt isn’t something we see too often at grassroots level but after seeing this we concur that more teams certainly should look at collared shirts. The reverse of the shirt has a nice little logo that celebrates the clubs 20th anniversary which we think is a very classy addition.

Unfortunately, you can’t get hold of the Fir Park Corner shirt as they sold out. However, you can keep up to date with the club via their social media platforms, Twitter (@firparkcornerfc) and Facebook (Fir Park Corner FC)
