The Kit Review – FC Isle of Man

FC Isle of Man as the club name suggests is based in the Isle of Man, they play their football in the North West Counties Football League, playing in the southern section of Division One. The club creation came in 2018 and with almost 2 years of planning they played their first game as a club in July 2020 against Guernsey FC.

The club unfortunately due to the long-standing pandemic have taken the decision to withdraw from the NWCFL for the 2020/21 season this is due to the travel involved with them having to travel to mainland to play away games, although this was surely a heart breaking decision to make we whole heartedly understand the choice and we are sure they will come back stronger for the 2021/22 season.

Onto the kit we have chosen unusually the FC Isle of Man goalkeeper shirt because frankly its spectacularly unique. The club have teamed up with Hope & Glory to create this masterpiece that has a very important message within. Inspired by Prostate Cancer UK’s iconic ‘Man of Men’ pin badge, worn by top-flight managers and football pundits across the UK, the club has dedicated its Goalkeeper kit to raise awareness of the disease, and the work of Prostate Cancer UK and Mannin Cancers.

The shirts black base with the silhouettes of various men from all walks of life really does live in the memory. The clubs badge and the Hope & Glory branding is very subtle and takes no attention away from the message of the shirt.

The Raven’s really have knocked this one out the park and we love that it contains and supports such worthy causes. You can purchase your very own one of these shirt from the clubs website.

I’m sure with the lack of football al purchases will be greatly appreciated by the club and I for one will most definitely be making a purchase of this shirt.
