The Kit Review – AFC Oldham

On the road again, today we are heading North to visit AFC Oldham. The club formed back in 2005 with their first team playing their games on Saturday afternoons in the Lancashire and Cheshire League.

However, the club has a number of teams: the firsts, seconds & thirds, a ladies side, a Sunday side and an under 16’s side. The club are constantly striving to grow and want to expand themselves in their local community to help provide a club that the whole of the community can be proud of and support.

The shirt is bright and outstanding I'm sure you’ll agree the orange with black and white trim just works. AFC Oldham have called in Hope & Glory to produce this iconic shirt.

I truly can’t stress enough to teams out there look at the colours you wouldn’t usually consider because honestly you will find some beauties out there. With orange you will always be comparing to the classic Dutch national team kits and this from AFC Oldham does compete with many of the Dutch classics.

The patterning on this shirt the different shades of orange just works so so so well, the black collar is stunning (again a massively underused feature on grassroots shirts). The black and white stripes on the sleeve cuffs are exquisite, getting the smallest details right truly makes a memorable shirt.

You can keep up with AFC Oldham and their progression as a club via their social media platforms: Twitter – (@AFCOldham) Facebook – (AFC Oldham), Instagram (afcoldham) or direct via their website.
